Who We Benefit

The sole purpose of the Foundation is to honor the legacy of love given to us by Stephen Siller, FDNY. This is done by paying tribute to his heroic life and death, his 342 FDNY brothers, and all those lost on 9/11, through the annual Tunnel To Towers Run. The Foundation supports the Pediatric Unit of the NYC Firefighter Burn Center and burn centers throughout the nation. The Foundation strives to help children who have lost one or both parents through local community awards and contributions to organizations with a like mission.

Through its educational and outreach programs, the Burn Center has greatly improved upon the quality of emergency burn treatment across the state and has been instrumental in preventing untold numbers of burn injuries. In doing so, it has become recognized as one of the best comprehensive burn centers in the world.Since its opening February 23, 1981, at the North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center has saved hundreds of lives and restored thousands of people, both children and adults, to lives of health and productivity. At the same time, the Burn Center has advanced the scientific knowledge of burn care and rehabilitation.
